Our rebel with a cause

Tell us about your (professional) self?

Some of my colleagues describe me as exhausting. When you need something done, I’m the busy person to whom you give it. And while I accomplish a lot in the day, what really motivates me is having fascinating conversations with interesting people. For me that’s what communication is all about –conversations that build relationships. I’m happiest investing in my relationships. Whether it’s our superb team, our brilliant clients or all the associates and stakeholders that make up Transform. When I left London I was headhunted from a Director’s role to be the CEO of a new PR agency as part of a large direct marketing agency. I found myself in charge of a brand new organisation with brand new clients and a culture to build. I had a vision of what an agency could be.

So... why Transform?

Important friends and business mentors made me realise I had something special to offer and that’s how Transform Communications came about. This was the time to fulfil my vision of what an agency could be. But it wasn’t until my business partner, Dan joined the organisation that the final piece of the puzzle fell into place. I had someone beside me with the drive and determination to bring to life our vision of an agency that delivers extraordinary quality and value to our clients and provides a brilliant work environment for our people.

What keeps you
driven, passionate
and challenged?

My parents always said when I’m bored I’m bad. So its lucky that Transform continues to excite and challenge me. No day is ever the same. There’s nothing I love more than discovering new sectors or propositions and understanding different business challenges. That’s what gets me up every day – and often keeps me up every night.

Enough business...what do you do for fun?

I grew up by the beach and I love walking by the sea. I enjoy nothing more than curling up with a good book and a glass of wine or binge watching my latest series. I also love being surrounded by people at festivals, laughing with friends on joint holidays and taking part in extended family get-togethers.

Lightning round!
