July 2019
2019 has been a busy year at Transform Communications. We have been joined by some new associates & have recently welcomed Dan to the team to head up our business development. It was hard to pick our favourite events of 2019 but here is a small selection of the highlights…
With a market unsettled by Brexit insecurity, a £2 million investment in an impressive new HQ, retail showroom and training centre for our client, InHouse, was big news for the kitchen & bathroom Industry. So back in January, Sophie headed up to Hexham with Tim Wallace, then Editor of KBB Review, to take a look. A successful trip that resulted in a front cover and a double page spread in one of the industry’s most influential titles.
Success comes in many different forms. There is nothing we love more than building relationships between clients and journalists - shared passions, shared experiences, creating great memories and it’s this that provides real satisfaction. When Tim Wallace mentioned his love of football, Wayne Dance, Managing Director at InHouse was ahead of the game, organising a night at Newcastle United to witness an historic win, followed by dinner with some of Newcastle United's most famous players. It was a great way to kick off the year, a client with unwavering belief in the future, an Editor with a great story to tell, and the Transform team creating an experience that everyone loved!
With two successful out-comes in the net, the hat-trick was secured for Hexham, when we entered InHouse into the Designer Awards 2019, picking up the coveted Showspace of the year award.
JCA Global got in touch in 2017 because they wanted to spread the word about the power of Emotional Intelligence (EI), and to establish their position as experts in the application of EI to drive business performance. In 2018, JCA Global was acquired by PSI Talent Management. The two brands needed to integrate, and further acquisitions mean that the picture is constantly changing.
Along with thought leadership content, including White Papers, guides, blogs, emails and social media campaigns, we have worked closely with JCA & PSI to develop article synopses and commentary to pitch to the media. In February, PSI’s Chief Psychologist, Jo Maddocks, was quoted in The Times Raconteur supplement, with Emotional Intelligence listed as the No.1 way to be a better leader in 2019.
CIPD is a global professional body for HR & people development, championing better working lives by setting professional standards & striving for positive change. We were lucky enough to attend the 2019 CIPD conference where we met representatives from some inspiring HR tech and learning & development organisations. There were some fantastic talks, seminars & speaker sessions, including a fascinating talk on employee engagement. We had a wonderful time & it was great to catch up with some of our clients.
Mark Hemming came to us after a successful career with a large corporate engineering company. He had masses of experience creating and delivering training courses but didn’t feel equipped to develop the marketing needed to launch his own consultancy.
This year we have worked with Mark to develop a positioning for him in the market. We created his website, designed a LinkedIn campaign strategy, and developed events in order to successfully launch MH4.0 Training & Consultancy. Everyone had a wonderful and inspirational time at MH4.0’s first event in October, held at The Hawk Conservancy Trust in Andover. Not your average training workshop, the event involved handling birds of prey. Our highlight had to be meeting the lovely Tawny Owl and the (huge) American Bald Eagle.
We were invited by Debbie Carter, the Editor of Training Journal magazine, to attend their annual awards night & gala dinner. With categories ranging from Best Apprenticeship Programme to L&D Team of the Year, the event is a prestigious celebration of the ingenuity, creativity, passion and hard work of learning and development professionals from around the world.
It was a privilege to meet the TJ team & establish relationships with some great people. However, we have to say our personal highlight was finding £7 all night parking in central London…
Kate Lanz is a neuropsychologist and business coach we have been working with in various guises for almost 10 years! For the last two years we have coordinated marketing & communications for Kate’s consultancy businesses, Mindbridge. With the launch of her first book, 2019 has been an exciting year for Kate, and it was great to have her over to Bradford on Avon to speak at our fourth Transform Talk. Kate shared her ground breaking research and work with corporate clients, shining the light on brain sex diversity and how to create brain friendly conditions at work.
We're always up for a coffee and conversation.
